innate.
This can be already noted during the first months of the dog's life, "seek the ball
!" is immediately understood in some gestures, and it brings back the ball with great

Don't bother the texture or the material, don't bother the kind of ball (tennis ball,
basket ball, volley ball), this object will drive your german shepherd crazy.
As soon as the dog see a ball its instinct commands to it to follow this rounded form and
to catch it, like a prey.
The ball can be used to educate the dog to bring back things to its master.
To play this game,
first the master tells the dog not to move "DON'T MOVE"
then the dog watch carefully its master's hand with the ball,
then the master shouts "CAUTION !"
the dog is ready to jump in the direction of the ball
then the master throws the ball as far as possible
the dog runs after the ball
the master repeats "SEARCH !" "SEARCH !"
several times until the dog finds the ball
finally when the master tells "BRING BACK !"
the dog bring the ball to the master.Don't be surprised if it won't give back the ball
easily, it is so proud to have found it that it want to show its exploit to anybody around
before giving it back.
