The German Shepherd dog is fond of sticks, it is a kind of prey for it, and it loves to jump and catch it on the air.
This is one of its instinctively favorite plays.

So don't change this object of play it loves so much to a punishment item, never beat the dog with a stick (and we will see that never beat it in any circumstance as psychologically fragile dog).
